Saskatchewan Black Bear Hunting
After a morning on the water, the focus shifts to one of the most exciting hunts in North America: Saskatchewan black bear.
The vast boreal forest surrounding our lodge provides the perfect habitat for large, mature bears. Our team maintains an extensive network of bait sites, ensuring hunters have multiple opportunities to encounter quality animals. In fact, we offer 100% odds of bear sightings, so every guest is guaranteed to see bears during their stay.
Evenings in the stand are unforgettable. As the forest quiets and the sun begins to set, bears often appear silently from the timber. Saskatchewan is well known for producing large-bodied black bears with excellent color phases. In fact, about 40% of the bears in our area are color-phase bears, including beautiful cinnamon and chocolate coats, making every hunt even more exciting and unique.
At Great Grey Outfitters, we can accommodate both bow hunters and rifle hunters, offering well-positioned stands and setups that provide excellent opportunities for either hunting style.
Incredible Waterfowl Hunting
Fall in Saskatchewan also means one thing: migrating waterfowl in massive numbers.
The agricultural fields and wetlands surrounding our area become a major stopover for migrating birds. Our hunts target a wide variety of species, including:

A Typical Combo Hunt Schedule
To help you get the most out of your stay, we have designed a schedule that allows you to experience all three adventures during your trip.
Day 1 – Arrival
Pickup at the airport or your hotel around noon. Our team will transport you to the lodge, located about 2.5 hours away, where your adventure begins. After settling in, you’ll meet the guides, review the plan for the week, and enjoy your first evening at camp.
Day 2, 3, 4 & 5 – Full Adventure Days
These days are dedicated to experiencing the full combo:
- Morning: Waterfowl hunting in nearby agricultural fields
- Fishing on our northern lakes for pike and walleye will take place in the afternoon or after you harvest your bear.
- Evening: Black bear hunting from well-prepared stands
These days can also be customized to fit your preferences. The plan is fine-tuned with Claude and his team to ensure each guest gets the most out of their adventure while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Day 6 – Departure
One final morning hunt before returning to the lodge. In the afternoon, our team will transport you back to the airport or your hotel.
