June 7, 2021 Canada-US Border Update

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that a gradual reopening plan is being made for the border, and that it would involve first steps of fully vaccinated (2 dose) US travelers being allowed to cross into Canada.

There is expected to be a further announcement this Friday (June 11) with additional details.  This is in preparation for the current cross border travel restriction that is currently in place and set to expire on June 21st.

Proof of vaccination is one of the topics expected to be addressed, as there are varying methods of proof currently.
