Our 2023 deer hunting season has just wrapped up already, time flies like crazy. Another great season it was even with the challenging warm weather. Filled with friends, family and great hunts, memories for life!
The pursuit of a trophy, whether a Black Bear or a Whitetail takes patience, hard work, management, luck and time. Not every hunter will be successful every year. We want every one of you guys to live the full experience and one day, it will be your turn to put a big old Saskatchewan buck in your scope. I would like to thank all of our clients that spend the week in the blind and passed up the deer that will be the next one that you guys will be looking for.

Great Grey / Western Trophy Outfitters

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that a gradual reopening plan is being made for the border, and that it would involve first steps of fully vaccinated (2 dose) US travelers being allowed to cross into Canada.
There is expected to be a further announcement this Friday (June 11) with additional details. This is in preparation for the current cross border travel restriction that is currently in place and set to expire on June 21st.
Proof of vaccination is one of the topics expected to be addressed, as there are varying methods of proof currently.
The 2020 Whitetail hunt is now complete…. December marks the end of our season. For my myself and my guides, it means a well deserved rest and time to be spent with our families, after the months of preparation for the season. This year, our season saw our hunters with amazing trophy harvests, fulfilling many hunters dreams. The opportunity of harvesting a trophy deer does not come by pure luck.
Each key guide puts in an estimated 2,800 hours, with an combined 100,000 KM put onto our trucks for the 2020 season, hunting for us isn’t just about pulling the trigger. It’s putting the hunter into a place that has been prepared, as well as holding good deer so that the hunt is a full experience. With Great Grey Outfitters / Western Trophy Outfitters, I have the privilege to share these experiences with you, our appreciated and loyal guests. We are now getting ready for trophy black bear hunting season 2019!
It will open May 5th and take end on June 10th 2019.
Our team will be taking place in just a few days to get everything ready for you guys, set up hunting stands and baits, trail and find those big boar… every detail is taken in consideration. Several of our hunters were presented with the opportunity to tag out with a buck over 150 B&C. We understand the discipline, and patience it takes to obtain such. It means passing on younger bucks that would also be well-received victories, for a chance that is not a guarantee. As with many things in life, you must decide if such a pleasant reward is worth the wait. We believe that it is essential to remain patient with our hunts. That is why we are working with our hunters now, and in the future, to wait for their dream trophy to walk into the scope, all the while allowing the younger deer population to blossom into the next set of B&C trophy contenders. We absolutely wanted to take a moment to thank our clients and all staff members for the precious moments we shared and for the good memories that we will remember for ever!
